The educational program of the school will follow the curriculum incorporated in the Sunshine State Standards.  The school will follow the same school calendar year as the Sponsor.  The school day will be the same length of day.   

The progress of students toward mastery of the curriculum will be monitored using data derived from a variety of formative assessments that are current and ongoing.  Analysis of these data will guide both group and individual instructional planning.   

This is a tentative curriculum offering which may be adjusted based on the needs of the student population that are enrolled.

Academies of Excellence Elementary Schools will utilize a core curriculum with a focus on the Sunshine State Standards and National Educational Technology Standards.  Textbooks and teacher resource materials will support the efforts of all classroom teachers and each instructional methodology utilized to meet the needs of the students and needs of a technology-based curriculum.   An integrated core curriculum will encompass the main subject areas of language arts, math, science, and social studies, in addition to a focus on foreign language, technology skills, fine arts, and life skills.

Reading - Reading is an essential skill and a key to lifelong learning.  A core reading program, based on each student’s individual academic strengths, will be implemented in all grade levels, with an emphasis on the following key    skills.
