points installed throughout.
- Core subjects will be taught using
electronic textbooks with embedded Florida
Sunshine Standards.
- The school will employ ActiveClassroom™
learning software that connects together
students, teachers, parents, and
administrators into a synergistic
educational community.
- Each student will have access to a
dial-up Internet Service Provider linking to
the Academies of Excellence Website, a
source for information sharing, tutorials,
online assistance, and a variety of
web-based educational enhancements.
- Each student and parent will have an
Academies of Excellence e-mail account.

- Our faculty will be selected from the
most highly qualified and motivated
candidates who have the credentials and deep
experience in their subject area, yet who
exemplify a passion for teaching and
learning.
- Our faculty contracts provide (1)
excellent incentives for those who inspire

any instructors who for some reason fail to
live up to the highest standards of teaching

Security-conscious. This includes
overall access and egress points, interior
doors and windows, and other entryways.
- Our facility will reflect the latest
in security design to establish and main
physical, operation, and communications.
- Our school will have an additional
security officer besides the DARE
officer provided by the county. This
will double the presence of expert
security advice and assistance on-site
as compared to comparable schools.
