The Academies of Excellence, Inc. is a nonprofit
organization developed for
the purpose of creating learning environments
with innovative, alternative
approaches to education.
The mission of Academies of Excellence, Inc.
is:
- To create a research-based, supportive
learning environment
that meets the academic and social skills
needs of K-12 school
students;
- To provide a strong academic program
that is technologically rich,
educationally sound, and individually
guided; and
- To instill in students strong values
that encourage positive community
involvement and a commitment to lifelong
learning.
Students will be technologically fluent,
self-motivated, and committed to lifelong
learning.
They will be able to address complex community
issues and communicate capably across
the divides of race, gender, and class. Students
will do this with both a healthy sense of
self and care and concern for others.
Academies of Excellence is committed to
fostering the positive community involvement of
its students.
